Meech Lake Lab
The Moving Image Lab at Meech Lake (Quebec) is a pilot project of Harbour Collective that was funded by the Canada Council for the Arts.

The workshop series reviewed the following:
- artistic and creative development concepts in experimental moving image art practices
- historical concepts connected to the site of the institute (Meech Lake)
- technical concepts, including video and sound production and post production systems and workflows
- working process concepts, including how to move past the ideas stage

Lab 1: Visual Art Lab – 4 participants

Location: Wascana Lake, Saskatchewan
The Visual Art Lab led by artists Jason Baerg and Paulete Poitras, serveed as a process based on-the-land artistic examination of concepts surrounding the manmade Wascana Lake. The Visual Art Lab is being run in partnership with sâkêwêwak.
The Experimental Film Lab led by filmmakers Cecilia Araneda and Penny McCann, focused on the basics of 16 mm filmmaking combined with emerging eco approaches. The Experimental Film Lab is being run in partnership with Sask FilmPool.
