ISSUE 26

OCTOBER 2024

Welcome to October! We hope the autumn air has been inspiring your creativity. The Harbour Collective team has been busy prepping for a big event next month (more on that below) and while the major film festivals have now wrapped up, there’s still plenty of call for submissions open. If you have any news, new media projects, films or community events you’d like to share in our upcoming newsletters, reach out to us at outreach@harbourcollective.ca. We’d also love to hear your feedback and suggestions!

Harbour Collective + PIX FILM Collective Presents

Next month, artists Jason Baerg, Quinn Hopkins, Casey Koyczan, Taylor McArthur and Feather Miigwan will head to Vienna to showcase their augmented reality pieces. Fusing Indigenous narratives that revolve around the moon with the ingenuity of AR, this is set to be a boundless multi-dimensional storytelling experience. And in follow up to the AR exhibition, a series of artists will respond to the moon stories through sound and film. We can’t wait!

If you happen to be wandering around Vienna’s museum quarter on November 26 or November 28, be sure to stop by and support the Harbour Collective artists and check out their creations.
